I'll Rule the World
greetings, illernet. i bear-bear would like to present to you my newest composition, which is yet another (infinitely better) spin on a classic by a little-known indie company related to leg elbows. this particular one is a parody of "a whole new world" by prince ali and jasmine. while the original is known as a great tribute to love, i believe this edition to be even more passionate, inspiring, and deeply romantic. the part of the prince is (obviously) meant to be sung by myself bear-bear, and the part of the lady should best be filled by a beautiful lady like, hmm, well... oh, i suppose la nora comes to mind. anyway, enjoy!
I’ll take over the world Mine it, use its resources I know I’ll be remorseless when I rule the land and tides And I’ll conquer the skies With hot air balloon soldiers Send them up where it’s colder to fight always on my side
I’ll rule the world
It’s what is best for everyone
I am benevolent
Magnificent
And smarter than these humans
You’ll rule the world
And be belov’d when all is done
How could they not love you?
You shine, it’s true
I’d love to see the world once you have won
(Just wait to see the world once I have won)
Will you conquer Versailles?
And the beaches of Maui?
Tokyo, Brazil–oh, how he plans to rule all space and time!
You’ll rule the world
(Yes, it all will be mine)
And you will be a wondrous king
(And I’ll be a great ruler)
And once you’ve won the war
My heart will soar
I’ll feel I’m lifted up on eagles’ wings
I’ll rule the world
(You’ll get riches so fine)
And be in charge of all of you
(Can we go to a jeweler?)
Things will be better when
The world has been
Taken by its brand new king, it’s true
I’ll rule the world
You’ll rule the world
So powerfully
So powerfully
It will be grand
So take my hand
And they will see
That was really good, Bear Bear
